Winter Forages at Hazells

Oats

Yarran - Mid Season variety with moderate speed to first grazing. Grows to a medium height and if harvested grain is desirable as feed because of color, size and test weight.

Coolabah - Mid Season variety that is quick to first grazing with moderate recovery. Grows to a medium/tall height . Widely used in the North-West. Good for hay.

Cooba - Early to Mid Season variety with moderate speed to first grazing with excellent recovery.

Eurabbie - Early variety quick to first grazing with excellent recovery. Semi dwarf with good ground coverage and high dry matter production.

Outback - Grazing variety that is erect. Quick to first grazing with moderate recovery and mid to late flowering.

Wheat

Naparoo - Awnless Winter Wheat. Excellent grazing and suited to hay and silage production.

Barley

Moby - Awnless White Barley with excellent winter growth and rapid establishment. Moby will tolerate multiple grazings. Also suitable for hay.

Annual Ryegrass

Numerous Varieties - Excellent winter , spring grazing. High protein levels and good silage potential.
